Sunset at 7:04 pm. The planets Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter will also put on a nice show once the sky darkens followed by Uranus after 9:30. The asteroid Vesta is also to be seen using a telescope near Saturn. Mars rises at after 11:00 and will brighten and grow larger this Fall. Neptune, the most distant planet in our solar system will also be visible in the east this evening. Uranus, a blueish green orb 1.6 billion miles out will be a treat to see after 9:30 or so. M27 (the Dumbbell Nebula), M8 (Lagoon Nebula), M17 (Swan Nebula) will be among the featured objects along with many other beautiful deep sky objects that should be visible weather permitting.
